Background:

'Kies, first, world explanation for FFXI. It's divided into four nations: San d'Oria, Bastok, Windurst, and Jeuno. There are five races: Elvaan, Hume, Galka, Tarutaru, and Mithra. Elvaans are like elves and live mainly in San d'Oria, a walled, medieval-style city with a castle. Humes are humans, and Galkas are... these... big... strong... things... (and are only male; or at least only playable as males; I've never seen females, but they have kids, so I assume there are some because they're too ugly for another race to love =D; *shot*); they mainly live together in Bastok, an industrial city. Well, the Humes rule there for the most part while the Galkas are mostly menial workers. ._.; Anyway. Tarutarus are these cute, tiny little magelets, and Mithras are kitty girls (there are males, but they're rare and only in the Mithra homeland, which is an island fairly far from the mainland); they share the natury city of Windurst.

Now then.

Rii is a mithra from Windurst. She once had a twin sister named Kii, who had recently died. But let's back up a bit. Interesting things happened before Kii's death.

Rii and Kii had always been in Windurst. They didn't really travel much, and even leaving the city was mostly for hunts. They were fairly young, too, so they haven't gone on much of those either. Anyway, one day, when they were 17 (almost 18), an Elvaan merchant from San d'Oria went on a business trip to Windurst. The San d'Oria embassy was in the Mithra quarters of Windurst, and they had nothing to do, so a rather curious Rii dragged her sister to go see. There, they met Jenare Richille and his father. Jenare and Kii were both oddballs for their races, see. Jenare wanted to be an adventurer (a... pirate XD;;;; ), but his father wanted him to be a knight. (None of my business, that. More about Jenare in Shenya's app.) Kii, meanwhile, wanted to be a white mage. In her case, it's not exactly that anyone was against her being one; it just wasn't... a very Mithra-y job. Mithras are agile, dexterous, and tempermental. In other words, they were generally hunters and thieves and whatnots, and certainly not patient healers. So the two said oddballs hit if off great from the start.

...Meanwhile, Rii got bored and went to catch fish. (I'm serious. XD; "This is boring. I'm going to go fishing. See ya!" Don't see why she likes fishing, though; I find that boring. But anyway, s'not like it's my choice.)

After Jenare and his father left, he and Kii started to have a letter correspondance. I'm sure Shenya will write about Jenare's end about the whole thing, but on Rii's end... She didn't actually go around reading the letters, 'course, but she knew about them and was rather "XP" about the whole idea. XD; She, actually somewhat in love with Kii herself (shush, I'm allowed my share of yuri twincest), kept teasing Kii about "liking" Jenare (while Jenare's friend was doing pretty much the same the other way around), until both sides really did start to kinda-sorta love each other.

Anyway, about two years later, we come to the more recent times.

Kii died a few months before they turned 19.

Rii was understandably upset, of course. In fact, she has this thing where she almost pretends that Kii's alive. It's not exactly that she's pretending, and it's not exactly that she doesn't believe that Kii's dead; she just kinda acts... as if Kii's still there, sometimes, even with full knowledge of the truth. I guess kinda like she knows it, but doesn't accept it.

But life goes on.

Because of Kii's death, Rii has decided to become a white mage. One reason was to fullfill Kii's dreams for her, and another was so that she wouldn't lose someone precious ever again. However, Rii's not a very good student. She went to classes with Kii, but skipped probably as much as she went to. >.>; Anyway, she lived off of Kii's notes and became a white mage (after failing three times? XD;; ).

Anyway, luck was with Rii, for, as she was making preparations (of a sort) to start traveling, and running errands for her nation's guards (and having a whole lot of trouble), she ended up running into Jenare, who finally set out traveling and decided to visit Windurst, firstly because he's been there before and secondly because Kii hasn't been responding to his letters. And, of course, he happened to see Rii... and thought she was Kii. Rii, on a spur-of-the-moment thing, told him that she was, indeed, Kii, and asked for his help. (Just as a note, her reasons for this were, (1), she didn't want to believe herself that Kii was really dead and thus wasn't willing to say it, and (2) she needed the help. But more reason 1.)

Thus begins the adventure. We're still kinda on the beginning, but more will happen... er... eventually? XD; Such as Jenare finally finding out that Rii's not Kii? And them eventually getting married so I don't get mobbed by guys in-game? XD

Yep. >.>;

Oh. And also, at some point (hopefully) before Kii's death, Rii and Kii have incested before. Shhhhh, yuri twincest. >.>;;

Personality:

Rii is, in a word, a brat. More elaborately, she is rude, annoying, arrogant, selfish, demanding, and tempermental. She doesn't go so far as to purposely harm people, but she certainly isn't too against a little bit of lying or manipulation if she feels that the need is great enough, such as with the whole lying to Jenare thing.

However, she is not without a good side too. She was, above all, dutiful. She takes oaths very seriously and thus strives to perform excellently as a white mage, even going so far as to sacrifice herself for people she doesn't like, if they are depending on her.

Also, she does care deeply for people once they actually manage to get close to her. Like Kii. She would give her life for Kii, and if someone offered her the choice of trading their deaths, she'd probably take it without hesitation.

Item Lost: I'll... get back to you on that later, after we RP them in-game more and we possibly come up with items. Or their wedding ring or something. For now, let's say her memories of Kii -- I promise I won't have her remember Kii until/unless I pick another item later.
